Umberto P. Fedeli serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Fedeli Group. The Fedeli Group is one of the largest privately held risk management and insurance firms in the state of Ohio. The firm specializes in property and casualty, employee benefits consulting, workers’ compensation, environmental risk management and surety. The cornerstone of The Fedeli Group has always been its creative problem-solving and unique networking capabilities.

Umberto is a member of the Board of Directors of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and serves as Chairman of the Government and Community Relations Board. He and his wife, Maryellen, recently were awarded the Distinguished Fellow Award by the Cleveland Clinic and he has been the event co-chair for the past 10 years for the Cleveland Clinic Children’s Annual Gala. Umberto is an honorary member of the Cleveland Catholic Diocese, is currently Chairman of the Northern Ohio Italian American Foundation (NOIA); a charitable organization that he helped establish in 1995, and is also a member of their Hall of Fame. He is the founder of the Cleveland Chapter of Legatus, and was formerly on the International Board of Directors. He is currently a member of the World Presidents’ Organization and The 50 Club. He was formerly on the Board of Trustees of John Carroll University. Umberto is also very active in many political, civic and community activities. He became a Knight of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem, administered by the Holy See in Rome and is also the holder of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.

In addition to handling operations at The Fedeli Group, Umberto is also a very active investor. He currently sits on some private company boards, is a partner of Strategic Value Bank Partners, LP, and had previously held positions on the boards of various public entities.

Umberto is a proud alumnus of St. Joseph’s High School and John Carroll University.

Umberto and Maryellen Fedeli reside in Gates Mills, OH and have been married since 1984. They have five children and thirteen grandchildren.
