Kathy Hirko is founder of KAZ Company. KAZ Company was acquired by The Fedeli Group in 2021 and operates as its own division, where Kathy continues to serve as President, overseeing an administrative staff and team of 21 Independent Agents. She focuses on Medicare Supplements, Medicare Advantage & Medicare Part D Plans.
Kathy started her sales career in 1982, selling Sharp copiers, then moved to office supplies, calling on OfficeMax before the 1st store opened. In 1990, KAZ Company was formed to serve a different venture; a manufacturer’s rep company selling office and school supplies to retailers. By 2007, Kathy sold its contracts to pursue an encore career the following year. She earned her health and life insurance license and chose to focus on Medicare. In 2010 KAZ Company was redefined as an insurance agency focused specifically on Medicare Plans.
Kathy is passionate about educating clients on how Medicare works so the individual feels confident in choosing the best plan for themselves or for a loved one they are caregiving. Her team takes the complexity out of Medicare, making their approach personable and different than others in the marketplace. KAZ Company and The Fedeli Group share a focus on relationships and giving back to the community. Following the 2021 acquisition by The Fedeli Group, KAZ Company has maintained its name and branding because of its loyal following—and Kathy continues her longtime commitment to service.
Kathy’s dedication to helping and education extends to her service to various boards and non-profits. Kathy is founder of the annual Fox 8 Annual Stuff the Bus Campaign. She served as a board member and chair of what is now Kids in Need, a charitable home office products organization. In 2001, she co-founded the Cleveland Kids in Need Resource Center to provide free school supplies to teachers in impoverished Cuyahoga County school systems. In 2015, this non-profit partnered with Shoes and Clothes for Kids. She was previously a member and chair of the University Hospitals Senior Network Board. Currently, Kathy is on the board of Boomer and Beyond and Coats for Kids and is active in the Alzheimer’s Association.
