On March 5, 2018, the Internal Revenue Service announced a reduction to the maximum contribution limit for Health Savings Accounts (HSA) for the 2018 calendar year.

This change is the result of the IRS making adjustments to accommodate the new tax reform bill.
The new limit for those with family coverage is $6,850, revised downward from $6,900. Self-only coverage did not change and remains at $3,450 for 2018.
