Regulatory Compliance Management

Rules and regulations change—but your responsibility to comply is a constant. Keeping up with evolving regulations can be a full-time job and you have a business to run. With regulatory compliance management, you can grow forward with peace of mind.

Our Objective

With solutions ranging from customizable templates to end-to-end sourcing and support, we provide the tools you need to meet evolving compliance standards.  We’re constantly addressing and updating resources because regulatory compliance management consulting is an ongoing process. Requirements can change year to year, and oversights can result in costly penalties. You can’t afford to be out of compliance, and That’s where The Fedeli Group Employee Benefits team comes in as a trusted partner that will ensure your program meets all legal requirements.

Risk Management. Does your employee benefits plan address risk management? It’s essential—and often under-resourced because managers do not fully understand requirements, time commitments and processes that can prevent fines, employee lawsuits and reputational damage.

Now more than ever, an employee benefits risk management plan is critical.

Federal and state oversight of employee benefit plans continues to grow in scope and complexity. Benefit plan administration requires compliance with government regulations at a federal, state and municipal level. In addition, an understanding of insurance carrier processes and coverage terms is essential.

Compliance Management. Our ERISA law firm partner, Marathas Barrow Weatherhead Lent (MBWL), creates an annual checklist that serves as the cornerstone for regulatory compliance management. Written documentation of completed tasks, gaps and risks provides a baseline so you can improve and maintain compliance.

For most Form 5500 and plan document work, we access a select group of compliance specialist firms. For complex issues requiring legal counsel, we can arrange for you to work with MBWL, providing you with experienced benefits counsel.

Regulatory Guidance. Changes to state employment and workplace rules can be difficult to track and interpret. Our human resources consulting partner, HR Workplace Services (HRWS), continually monitors state developments based on where you operate. As changes or potential changes occur, HRWS provides notifications that identify the potential impact to your business. The HRWS consulting team is also available to help with employee handbook support, wage and hour/equal pay regulations, harassment and discrimination issues and leave management.

The Fedeli Group Difference. An annual compliance review with a regulatory compliance management specialist will help you identify and manage regulatory documentation and disclosure requirements. In addition, we will help you understand the potential implications of corporate transactions, employment arrangements and opportunities that might exist within the regulatory framework – organizing appropriate legal resources as needed.
