Lawrence Galizi

Lawrence Galizi is President at TFG Aviation Risk Management and has spent the last 45 years ingrained in the aviation insurance industry, beginning as an Underwriter and Underwriting Manager at United States Aviation Insurance Group for 7 years.  He then built an aviation unit from scratch for Bayly, Martin & Fay in Chicago in the late 1970s.

Lawrence launched The Aviation Agency in 1990, which merged with Aviation Insurance Services in 2001 as the largest privately held aviation broker. He continued serving as President until starting Aviation Risk Management Associates in 2010, as a retail insurance brokerage firm providing commercial aviation-related coverages. This included opening Aviation Insurance Consultants, Inc. to deliver corporate risk management services on a contract basis to entities with aviation exposures.

Galizi’s extensive leadership experience and business-building background in aviation and beyond positions him as a valuable partner and advisor for TFG Aviation clients. As a practice guided by Galizi’s deep knowledge and the TFG Aviation team’s passion for the industry, the firm collaborates with clients to provide comprehensive, strategic risk management solutions.

Galizi was a U.S. Naval Pilot and Naval Officer, and he earned Aviation Engineering degrees from the State University of New York and Western Michigan University. Insurance education includes courses from the College of Insurance in New York and UCLA California Workers Compensation Law.

Larry and his wife of over 50 years, Karen, reside in The Village of Lakewood, Ill., close to their children and grandchildren.
