Ohio Senate Bill No 9

02/22/2021 | The Fedeli Group

Recently, Ohio Senate Bill No. 9 passed and is planned to take effect July 1, 2021 pending sign off from Governor DeWine. This legislation requires insurers to provide deidentified claim reporting data for group medical programs with 50 or more enrolled employees.

The information required to be furnished by insurers will be the following:

  1. Net claims paid by month;
  2. Claims over $30,000 – amount paid toward each claim and claimant health condition/diagnosis;
  3. Enrollment data by month;
  4. Monthly prescription claim information.

The Fedeli Group believes the information will be impactful and will enable us to deliver a more robust consulting service, optimizing financial and workforce health solutions to our clients.

As we wait for the legislation to take effect and understand how the insurance carriers are going to adapt, know that your team at The Fedeli Group will have the resources to deliver solutions based on this law.

We look forward to providing more information in the coming months. In the meantime, please contact your Client Executive with questions or reach out through our website if you have general questions.
