On March 23, 2010 President Obama signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA). The Act is now more commonly referred to as the Affordable Care Act (ACA). 

This law will have profound implications for the entire economy. While the Supreme Court decision allows for major components of the legislation to move forward, implementation will be complicated, often confusing, and in many situations costly for employers.
